City's Water Division staff maintains and operates the City's water distribution system for constant and safe delivery of potable water to over 10,000 accounts. Edmonds purchases our drinking water from the Alderwood Water Wastewater District, which in turn sources its water from the City of Everett. The water originates from Spada Reservoir, located at the headwaters of the Sultan River about 30 miles east of Everett. From the Spada Reservoir, the water travels through a pipeline to the City of Everett treatment facility at the Chaplain Reservoir.
