
The City of Edmonds is currently at the 60% design phase of the Highway 99 Revitalization Project – Stage 3. The public is invited to attend the first project open house on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to learn more and provide feedback. The meeting will be held in the Plaza Room (2nd floor conference room) at the Edmonds Library, located at 650 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020.
The project aims to revitalize the southern segment of Highway 99, from 244th St SW to 238th St SW, and improve safety for all active transportation users along this corridor.
Project scope includes:
- New sidewalks
- Bike lanes
- Street lighting
- Improved stormwater management
- Targeted utility replacements
- Addition of a dual left-turn pocket for northbound traffic at 238th St SW
- Undergrounding of overhead distribution utilities
- Landscaping, softscape treatments, urban design features, and other streetscape enhancements
- Improvements that reflect the unique character of Edmonds
Bike lanes and new sidewalks will also be added along 238th St SW from 84th Ave W to Highway 99.
