Many properties have an Edmonds mailing address because they are served by an Edmonds post office. These areas are in unincorporated Snohomish County within the urban growth areas of Edmonds or Lynnwood. Common sources of confusion are the Esperance neighborhood surrounded by Edmonds centered around 76th Ave. W and 228th St. SW and the Meadowdale neighborhood centered around 148th St. SW and 52nd Ave. W/Beverly Park Rd.

Aside from using the City's GIS, voters registered in these areas may notice they do not vote in Edmonds' elections and property owners may notice their property taxes do not include Edmonds' taxes.

Until these areas are annexed by their designated municipality, contact Snohomish County Planning & Development Services with any questions.
