The City Clerk's office is a service department within the municipal government upon which the City Council, all city departments, and the general public rely for information regarding the operations and legislative history of the city. We strive for exceptional responsiveness to our residents, our policy makers, and fellow staff. What We Do
Claims for Damages
Claims must be filed using the official Claim for Damages form, and submitted to the City Clerk’s Office. Claims will be reviewed by the appropriate department, then forwarded to our carrier, Washington Cities Insurance Authority (WCIA). Claims will be investigated and resolved by WCIA, and processing times will vary.
Elections and Voter Registration
Snohomish County Elections administers primaries and elections and manages the voter registration process for Snohomish County voters.
Interlocal Agreements
RCW 39.34 permits a local government to enter into interlocal agreements with other public agencies in the interest of cooperatively sharing resources for their mutual benefit. The City of Edmonds has executed interlocal agreements with other public agencies for various purposes over the years and houses them in the City’s electronic document system.
