The Edmonds Arts Commission and the Edmonds Sno-Isle Library present a free-admission, family friendly music event offering bluegrass, old time, folk and roots music on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2:00-4:30pm, Edmonds Plaza Room, 650 Main St., featuring a performance by the Mosquito Fleet band, followed by a jam session and other activities lead by the musicians.
Following this 45 minute preview performance in Edmonds, members of the Mosquito Fleet band will host a “jam” with other musicians. Audience members who play an acoustic instrument are welcome to bring an instrument and join in after the concert.
Those who do not play an instrument are encouraged to explore the Wintergrass Instrument “Petting Zoo”, a chance to experience holding and playing an acoustic musical instrument, such as a mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and guitar. In addition, audience members with a Sno-Isle library card may enter to win a day pass to the Wintergrass festival.
The Wintergrass Festival, held in Bellevue the end of February, is also a family-friendly event. For more information about the festival, go to www.wintergrass.com
